I graduated from the University of Washington with a degree in Speech Education and a minor in drama. I taught for two years in Raymond, WA. I moved back to Seattle, went to work for the phone company, met my husband, Carl, got married and moved to Salem, OR. After living in Oregon for a short 9 months, we loaded up a Ford super van and a small trailer and headed for the Washington DC area for my husband to attend George Washington University for his PHD in public administration. Nine years later we returned to the Seattle area with our two boys and a much larger moving truck. On our return we were blessed to be able to buy a home in the Maple Leaf area and have both of our boys attend Fairview Christian School.
I started working at Fairview in the fall of 1990 in the Kid’s Care program. I went on to substitute teach at Fairview for several years. In the fall of 2000, I began teaching at Fairview as the Performing Arts teacher. Since that time I have filled in for other teachers, taught history classes and this year for the first time added PE to my list of programs. One of my most recent accomplishments has been to write two melodrama plays with Mrs. Brown and to have had them published by Pioneer Drama Service. I enjoy teaching at Fairview and feel that the Lord has really blessed my life by giving me this opportunity. I look forward to this year with great excitment, not only for teaching but for celebrating my 30th wedding anniversary with my husband.
“Blessed be the Name of the Lord!!!”
